Our Nutritional Healthcare Programs are personally tailored to focus on improving the integrity of your personal biosphere. Two ways this care is provided
- During office visits with Chiropractic, Acupuncture, Massage or Nutritional Consultation by prescribing products that help relieve acute symptoms and support your recovery.
- By appointment for a comprehensive evaluation to develop a custom Nutritional Healthcare Plan. We provide treatment of metabolic trauma, toxicity and insufficiency that shows up in your body as a disease conditions with Nutritional Healthcare programs. We believe that a cookie cutter approach does not begin to address the unique biochemical person that is you. We rely on thoroughly understanding your situation with questionnaires, kinesiological and laboratory studies to develop a plan for you. We monitor the results of this care adjusting it to help you achieve the results you deserve by prescribing products that help relieve symptoms, supporting your recovery and regeneration.
What types of programs do you offer?
Health Recovery
Our Health Recovery Program provides nutritional support and metabolic therapies for those with Acute or Chronic conditions requiring major constitutional regeneration. This can range from a prescription for nutrients to relieve unpleasant symptoms to comprehensive programs to help a person recover from long term health challenges. This approach is to first address factors that underlie pain and inflammation, then supply repair and rebuild nutrients from diet and supplementation to stop the degeneration and facilitate regeneration. The time frame for pain and inflammation is day and weeks, for repair and rebuild months and years.
- Acute Recovery
This is indicated when a person experiences a recent onset of symptoms that they generally do not experience on an ongoing basis. The clinical objective here is to give the body all it needs to quickly reduce symptoms, restore comfort and support repair at optimal rates. Acute Care plans generally do not last more than 90 days. We use standard medical assessments along with Kinesological and Laboratory methods to arrive at a diagnosis and to measure progress. - Chronic Recovery
This is indicted when your initial intake indicates a complex history with multiple long term complaints. The clinical objective is to restore as much function as possible to a person’s metabolic machinery so that they can recover health and realize improvements to their quality of life. When the body works well symptoms go away and life gets better. We establish a data baseline that includes objective measurements likely to change with improved metabolic status. Depending on the person’s current health status this program can run from months to years. After initial assessment we schedule a report and recommend nutritional interventions to address your top three issues. We set a reassessment date at that time. This assess, treat, reassess process continues till indicators and objective measurements show you have achieved your health goals and are ready to transition tomaintenance with aFoundationalor Longevity program.
Foundation Nutrition
This program is designed to assist a person in achieving a supplement nutrient program to support their general health care needs. This may include specially formulated supplements including medical foods. This program uses established scientific guidelines along with individual laboratory assessment of vitamin and mineral status. Applied Kinesiology studies allow precision dosing for long term tolerance.
Longevity Wellness Program
A Longevity Wellness program would optimally begin when a person has achieved recovery from health concerns and accomplished a reasonable level of wellness. A patient should at least be stable and in a maintenance mode from a therapeutic standpoint. This program can be initiated at the conclusion of a health recovery program or as a value added upgrade from a Foundational Nutrition Program.
This program is offered to assist a person in understanding the strategies and resources necessary to achieve optimal aging. This program should be considered as a long-term health benefit program with the objective of maintaining a sustained regenerative metabolic state toward optimal longevity. This includes life style activities, including diet and fitness along with proven supplement nutrient programs.
Who Provides this Care?

If longer term issues then ask for a comprehensive Nutritional Healthcare Evaluation. Depending on findings he may have qualified members of his team support you through portions of care at a cost savings to you. He will continue to monitor your progress and perform re-evaluations according to your plan.
What to expect during your first visit
Your first visit will consist of a consultation and examination. Any further studies that are indicated will be prescribed. An appointment to present the recommended action plan will be scheduled. Any supportive therapies or home care recommendations will be made pending the start of your plan.
Are there any medical conditions that would make nutritional therapies inadvisable?
Yes. That’s why it’s imperative that, before you begin your session, you have completed all paperwork. It is very important that you inform Dr. Akers of any health problems or medications you are taking.
